Anatoly Malykhin became the first-ever three-division MMA World Champion in history, simultaneously holding the ONE Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, and Heavyweight straps. Now, the dangerous Russian knockout artist is gearing up to reclaim the one crown he lost.
In November of last year, Malykhin suffered a split-decision loss to Senegal's Oumar Kane in a back-and-forth battle. After five gruelling rounds, the world witnessed the crowning of a new heavyweight king in Kane.

After the heartbreaking loss, the 37-year-old superstar has been putting in the hard work to gain more strength. The results of his training and weightlifting have been satisfactory. "Sladkiy's" weight is now exactly where it needs to be to fight in the heavyweight division.
"I've been focusing more on strength and conditioning. I've been doing a lot of strength training and working with weights. I bulked up again and hit the numbers I had back when I was fighting at heavyweight," Malykhin said.
Since debuting on the global stage in 2021, Malykhin went on to create a six-fight win streak. His last defeat not only cost him his crown but also ended his undefeated record. That setback has motivated the Russian powerhouse to go back to the drawing board.
Now, Malykhin has completely changed his diet and switched to a keto plan, which has helped him gain the necessary weight and power. The man who has won all his ONE fights by stoppage stated that he is ready to fight whenever ONE calls on him.
"I've bulked up. I used to be 100 kilos. Now I'm 117. I've been lifting a lot. As for my diet, I switched to keto -- I cut out carbs completely. And so far, I feel great," Malykhin said. "I've never turned down a fight. If I'm healthy and not injured, I'm in. I've always been hungry to fight. There's no 'perfect' date for me. I'm ready whenever ONE needs me."
