For the first time in five years, former ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn finds himself having to bounce back from a loss that saw him lose the most important title of his career.
The striking phenom saw his reign over the weight bracket come to an end in January at ONE Fight Night 6 when Chingiz Allazov stunned the kickboxing world by stopping Superbon in a second-round storm.

Now with questions to answer, Superbon returns to kickstart his reascension at ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov. On Saturday, 10 June, he meets #5-ranked featherweight kickboxing contender Tayfun Ozcan.
Having enjoyed a lengthy reign atop the featherweight division dating back to his 2021 knockout of kickboxing GOAT Giorgio "The Doctor" Petrosyan, Superbon entered the Circle in January feeling bulletproof.
That impenetrable feeling he had when walking into Bangkok, Thailand's Impact Arena six months ago may have left him feeling too confident, though. He doubted the caliber of opposition in "Chinga," and for that, Superbon believes he paid a heavy price.
"I might have underestimated my opponent a bit. His game plan was better than expected. I must give credit to his good preparation. And, you know, I haven't lost in the past [five] years. It made me overlook my own weaknesses," he said.
"But when I lost, I watched the replay and I could really see my weaknesses. That was my mistake." This time around, Superbon has prepared heavily for Ozcan on ONE Fight Night 11's main card.
When he enters the ring inside Lumpinee Stadium for the first time in almost a decade, the Singha Mawynn product will look to showcase an evolved version of himself.
"Some fighters don't know how to adapt," he said. "You can see that some are good at left kicks, they will throw only left kicks all the time. But that's not the case for Tayfun.
"He can change to left punch, right punch, right or left kick. And this gives his opponent a hard time predicting his move. If I fight him, I can't lose my focus for a second."
Superbon now finds himself in a unique and refreshing situation. The upcoming clash with Ozcan has once again made him a humble yet hungry contender.
The 32-year-old hasn't lost back-to-back bouts in almost 13 years. And now a kickboxing legend, Superbon has no plans on revisiting that territory.
"I have more motivation than him this time. I want to take back the belt and defeat everyone in rankings. And [the] most important thing is that I can't lose again," Superbon said. "It's a point of no return for me. If I lose, everything I've done until now will fall apart in the blink of an eye."
