This past January at ONE Fight Night 6, Superbon Singha Mawynn's momentous reign as ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion came to a catastrophic close when Chingiz Allazov stopped the Thai striker with a ferocious second-round flurry.
The defeat marked the Thai kickboxing great's first loss in almost five years. However, it also gave Superbon the chance to address his issues, return to the drawing board, and change his approach in his second coming.

Now, the former featherweight king returns to kick off the next chapter of his climb back to the top when he meets No. 5-ranked contender Tayfun Ozcan on Saturday, 11 June, at ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov.
After coming up short to Allazov, Superbon will prove that his upcoming performance in June will be the most pivotal outing for him in recent time - especially facing a man of Ozcan's caliber.
But if history suggests anything, it's that Superbon bounces back from shortcomings almost better than anyone. In fact, his loss in 2018 to Marat Grigorian made way for a 12-fight winning streak, including going 3-0 inside the ONE Circle.
However, Ozcan has a similar track record. "Turbine's" most recent outing in ONE was a loss to Grigorian last October at ONE on Prime Video 2. Now he'll look to not only respond triumphantly, but do so against an opponent of Superbon's stature.
That said, Superbon will have doubters to silence off the back of his defeat in January, and he'll have to overcome a new challenger who will be relishing the opportunity to make a name for himself by beating one of the sport's greatest kickboxers.
But the positives at stake for Superbon are massive. While Ozcan will be headhunting, it'll be the biggest bout of his professional career, and that can create moments that Superbon can capitalize on.
With an assertive victory, Superbon will catapult himself back into the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title conversation. Then, fans can expect a rampant and hungry Superbon to battle Allazov in one of the most anticipated rematches in ONE featherweight kickboxing history.
