Ham Seo Hee's mixed martial arts career dates back almost 15 years. It's a trailblazing career with highs, lows, and all the close-calls in between. And later this month, "Hamzzang" has the chance to claim the most esteemed prize of her lengthy tenure.

The 36-year-old #2-ranked atomweight MMA contender meets top-ranked Stamp Fairtex in the main event of ONE Fight Night 14 on Saturday, 30 September, with the ONE Interim Atomweight MMA World Title up for grabs.

The South Korean's veteran skills have allowed her to flourish since arriving in the world's largest martial arts organization. In fact, Ham has gone 3-0 in the weight bracket to earn this coveted opportunity.

But as she looks back on her resume up until this point, Ham believes the vital experience she's gained over the last decade and a half will play a pivotal role in ONE Fight Night 14's main event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

"I think Fairtex is a powerful opponent. Her Muay Thai strikes are powerful, and she successfully transitioned them into MMA," Ham said. "But when it comes to MMA, I'm a cut above her. I think MMA striking has different distances and movements that set it apart."

There's no question that September's clash is the biggest fight of Ham Seo Hee's accomplished career. And the Team MAD pioneer is under no false pretenses as to the illustrious list she can join in a matter of weeks.

To make sure she comes away with the World Title in hand, Ham plans to leave no stone unturned. Her unparalleled run started with a nine-fight winning streak in 2017. And being on the cusp of gold, Ham's in no mood to let the opportunity slip by.

"I am putting in a lot of effort to get ready for the upcoming fight like any other one so as not to regret it all. I am doing my best to prepare in every aspect rather than just focusing on preparing separately," Ham said. "As both possess striking strengths, I am focusing on training to showcase it feisty during the title fight."
