ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Jonathan Haggerty is now a two-sport ONE World Champion. "The General" secured bragging rights over bitter rival Fabricio Andrade and, more importantly, the vacant ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title.
He did so with a stunning second-round TKO in the ONE Fight Night 16 main event at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 4. The Brit's speed was on show from the opening bell as Andrade struggled to keep up with his combinations and footwork.

"Wonder Boy" mounted some offense and used his signature step-up knee before a round-two head kick wobbled him. Haggerty was simply relentless as he pursued his stricken foe, and the 26-year-old closed the show with a right hand that pierced the guard and sent Andrade crashing to the canvas.
The fight was waved off at the 1:57 mark as the Brazilian was unable to recover, triggering an emotional celebration from ONE's newest two-sport king. The crushing win also scored Haggerty a US$100,000 double performance bonus, courtesy of ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
Tye Ruotolo claimed the inaugural ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Title in the co-headliner with a dominant unanimous decision over Magomed Abdulkadirov. The pair spent the early part of the 10-minute feature fighting for grips, before Ruotolo jumped into guard and began working for a submission off his back.
The 20-year-old grappling superstar looked to be on his way to snatching a leg lock near the midway point, before he switched to a guillotine choke as Abdulkadirov looked to escape, warranting a catch from referee Herb Dean.
Ruotolo worked overtime throughout the match in search of a fight-ending submission. But despite a tight triangle choke and armbar attempt in the dying seconds, it wasn't to be as his Russian foe defended diligently throughout.
In the end, it was a clear-cut decision for the judges, as the California native joined his twin brother Tye as a ONE World Champion. Ruotolo became the third athlete to win a US$50,000 bonus, after Cristina Morales and Ben Tynan were awarded for their finishes earlier in the day.
