Shamil Gasanov's grappling was the story of the ONE Fight Night 18 main event. "The Cobra" was simply too good on the ground for Oh Ho Taek in the January 13 headliner at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Oh was unable to mount any significant offence, as he worked tirelessly to fight off the Russian star's submissions. He was able to survive three gruelling rounds but, ultimately, Gasanov was awarded a well-deserved unanimous decision victory.

With that, the #4-ranked featherweight MMA contender returned to the win column after suffering the first defeat of his MMA career last time out and cemented his place among the upper echelon of his stacked division.
In the co-main event, streaking Muay Thai bantamweight Suablack Tor Pran49 survived a second-round scare to score a unanimous decision win of his own.
The Thai star was sent crashing to the canvas early in the second frame after promotional newcomer Stefan Korodi cracked him with a heavy punch.
All looked lost as he staggered to his feet before mounting an incredible comeback by landing two knockdowns of his own. Suablack then continued his momentum in the final round to earn the judges nod and extend his winning run under the ONE banner to six.
There were four more stoppage wins and three fights that went the distance for the decision on the undercard. Here is a look at the final results of ONE Fight Night 18:
