Two-sport ONE Bantamweight World Champion Jonathan Haggerty had to do it the hard way, but he retained his bantamweight Muay Thai strap in the ONE Fight Night 19 headliner on Saturday, February 17.
"The General" took a count in the opening round as he slumped against the ropes under fire from heavy-handed Brazilian Felipe Lobo at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Haggerty unloaded heavy leather to start round two as he looked to even the score, and he did just that inside the first minute as Lobo tasted the canvas for the first time.
After a chaotic back-and-forth end to the round, Haggerty came to life in the third. The British star uncorked a massive right hand that sent Lobo crashing to the floor once again, this time for good.
Haggerty netted yet another massive US$50,000 performance bonus for his sixth-straight victory. And looking back, the bout has become a sure early contender for fight of the year as well.
In the co-main event, Saemapetch Fairtex exacted revenge on former conqueror Mohamed Younes Rabah with a dramatic 93-second TKO. The Thai star was a man on a mission as he battered the previously unbeaten Rabah with a whirlwind of heavy leather.
Saemapetch not only avenged his controversial loss to Rabah, but he also took home a US$50,000 performance bonus for the quick finish. Other bonus winners on the night were Thongpoon PK Saenchai and Polish promotional newcomer Martyna Kierczynska.
