Regian Eersel is the undisputed best lightweight striker on the planet after exacting his revenge against former conqueror Alexis Nicolas in the ONE Fight Night 25 main event on October 5.
"The Immortal" was relentless in the headliner at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Having dropped the title to Nicolas six months ago, Eersel was a man on a mission from the outset.

The 31-year-old relentlessly walked down his foe, who stayed mobile and tried to counter. His long jab continually disrupted Nicolas' rhythm, and he regularly landed the cleaner shots on his way to the unanimous decision win.
With the victory, Eersel reclaimed his status as a two-sport lightweight king. The Surinamese superstar successfully reunited the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title, which he lost to the previously undefeated Nicolas this past April, with his lightweight Muay Thai strap.
In the co-main event, Youssef Assouik turned out an ultra-impressive promotional debut performance. The Danish-Moroccan lightweight Muay Thai standout outpointed former World Title challenger Sinsamut Klinmee to put himself into the conversation for a future shot at Eersel.
Thai star Sinsamut pressed the action from the opening bell, but Assouik remained assured, using his length and landing well-placed kicks to frustrate "Aquaman" throughout the first two rounds of action.
Sensing that he needed a finish, Sinsamut pushed hard in the final round, but failed to land a telling shot as Assouik scored the unanimous decision victory. The stunning win extended his overall win streak to 10 fights.
Also on the under card, John Lineker claimed a first-round stoppage win over Alexey Balyko in a bantamweight Muay Thai bout after Mansur Malachiev dominated Bokang Masunyane across three rounds for a decision win in a strawweight MMA bout.
Earlier, Johan Estupinan finished Zakaria El Jamari in the second round of a flyweight Muay Thai contest before Shir Cohen, Rui Botelho and Danial Williams earned decision wins. Estupinan and Lineker bagged USD 50,000 as bonuses for their performances. Here is a look at the full results from ONE Fight Night 25:
