ONE Fight Night 27 Results: Zamboanga Claims Interim Title, Abdullaev Stuns Tang in Headliner
ONE Championship's first U.S. primetime event of 2025 is in the books, as ONE Fight Night 27 delivered fireworks from start to finish on Saturday, 11 January. Fans inside Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and those watching from around the globe were treated to epic martial arts action.
The main event featured a clash between two ultra-tough fighters, as ONE Featherweight MMA World Champion Tang Kai took on Akbar Abdullaev in a five-round catchweight bout. The fight was changed from a title matchup to a catchweight after the Kyrgyzstani fighter failed the hydration test during weigh-ins.

This, however, didn't affect Abdullaev. He imposed his will on the reigning champion from the get-go, wearing him down with relentless pressure. The 27-year-old secured multiple takedowns and unleashed heavy ground-and-pound. Despite entering championship rounds for the first time of his career, Abdullaev had no problem whatsoever.
In the final round, Abdullaev took his foe to canvas and landed heavy shots that made referee Herb Dean wave off the fight at the 1:21 mark. With the TKO victory, Abdullaev maintained his perfect record and finishing rate, while snapping Tang's unbeaten streak in ONE.
In the feature fight, second-ranked contender Denice Zamboanga and #4-ranked Alyona Rassohyna faced off for the ONE Interim Women's Atomweight MMA World Title. Zamboanga showcased her well-rounded skills, stopping her rival in the second round to claim the interim belt.
Meanwhile, the Muay Thai hype train of John Lineker came to a halt courtesy of Kulabdam, who won the contest via unanimous decision. Although Lineker scored a knockdown early in round one, "Left Meteorite" attacked him relentlessly to secure the hard-earned victory.
