Nong-O Hama is arguably one of the greatest Muay Thai strikers of all time, but the Thai legend has been going through a rough patch recently. He will look to turn the tide in his favour on 3 May in the main event of ONE Fight Night 31.
There, the former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion will go toe-to-toe against Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in a flyweight Muay Thai rematch. The event will be broadcast live from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

After achieving success in the bantamweight division, the 38-year-old veteran moved down a weightclass. His flyweight debut, however, was spoiled by the talented Sor Sommai star. Kongthoranee wasn't fazed by his opponent's aura and fired shot after shot.
In the end, the 28-year-old was declared the winner by split decision in a tightly contested fight. Now, Nong-O is eager to prove what he is capable of and is certain that their second encounter will deliver a different outcome.
"I promise that this rematch won't be the same. I want everyone to see a decisive win or loss. If I lose, it will be a loss that ends any doubts or arguments. I will stick to my old fighting style, but I will throw my weapons more often," Nong-O said.
"I am still confident that my destructive power is superior to his because I used to compete in heavier weight classes. I asked my trainer this question, and he said that I am faster but my power is also still as hard as ever."
The 5-foot-7 fury is a living legend of Muay Thai, with 266 career wins over some of the best names in the game. He made his ONE debut in 2018 and racked up a 10-fight win streak between 2018 and 2023.
Nong-O has dynamite in his hands and a mind wired like a supercomputer. The Thai legend is determined to prove he is just as deadly as ever. With that in mind, the Evolve MMA standout is training to end the rematch with a definitive knockout.
"I predict this fight will end with a clear result," he said. "It would be better if it ended with a knockout, not a decision, so that there would be solid evidence and no controversy later."
