Former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama put on a show against #3-ranked flyweight contender Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in the highly anticipated rematch between two of the best strikers on the planet.
The eight-time bantamweight king proved that he was ready and serious for his flyweight run after taking a comfortable unanimous decision win over his compatriot in the main event of ONE Fight Night 31 inside a rocking Lumpinee Stadium crowd in Bangkok, Thailand, on 3 May.

Promising a more aggressive performance in the rematch, Nong-O lived up to his words as he backed up Kongthoranee by pushing the pace early on and landing one leg kick after another while stringing together boxing combinations with that.
The veteran's mettle was tested, however, in the second round as Kongthoranee responded with fire, even connecting on a beautiful left straight that rocked Nong-O and had the bantamweight legend wobbled.
He did recover late in the action-packed second round, responding with a few big shots of his own including clean uppercuts and hooks to stop Kongthoranee's flurry. Nong-O even ended the round moving forward, proving just how quickly he had recovered.
Fighting with extra zest after taking Kongthoranee's best shots and surviving, Nong-O came out really confident in the final round. The Thai superstar strung together body kicks and knees from the clinch to break the fight wide open and cruise to the win.
The victory gave Nong-O the decisive outcome that he wanted after his hotly contested loss to the same man just last February. He improved to 267-58 for his career and earned a US$50,000 performance bonus while giving his flyweight run a huge push.
In the co-main event, Tye Ruotolo put a lid on his storied rivalry against Dante Leon, beating his longtime foe via unanimous decision to defend his ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Title.
It was a back-and-forth affair between the two grappling wizards but in the end, it was Ruotolo's aggression, passes, and control that earned him the nod of the judges as he stayed unbeaten in The Home of Martial Arts. Here is the final results of ONE Fight Night 31:
