ONE Fight Night 31: Zebaztian Kadestam Aims For Knockout In Striker vs Grappler Clash With Isi Fitikefu

By Mike Joseph

Dangerous knockout artist Zebaztian Kadestam returns to action to strengthen his case for a World Title shot. "The Bandit" will be up against tough challenger Isi Fitikefu in a welterweight MMA fight on 3 May at ONE Fight Night 31.

Inside the prestigious Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the former ONE Welterweight MMA World Champion will look to show the power of his monstrous strikes that have demolished some of the best fighters.

The 34-year-old Swede is a pure striker who doesn't like to take the fight to the canvas. For his next bout, his strategy remains - he aims to knock out his rival, no matter the round.

"My game plan is always the same. I've never wrestled, so I'm never gonna wrestle. It's kind of putting focus on getting my body to do what my mind wants to do, and being sharp, and being able to let my mind decide, and my body will follow," Kadestam said.

"I'm gonna do everything I can to knock him out. First, second, or third round. I'm gonna try to find a finish. I don't really have a prediction, but I will do my best to knock him out."

All of Kadestam's wins under the ONE banner have come via stoppage. He has managed to put seven opponents to sleep with his devastating strikes. "The Bandit's" biggest win came in his last match, when he knocked out the world-renowned fighter Roberto Soldic in 2023.

With a 100 percent finishing rate under his belt, the Stockholm native never underestimates his opponents. He believes that Fitikefu will try to take the fight to the ground to gain the upper hand. The man riding a three-fight win streak further added that it will be a solid contest.

"I believe he's gonna try to put that pressure and to put that pace on the fight where he's able to grind and able to wrestle, and that's where I don't want to be, right?" Kadestam said.

"I'm gonna try to take the pace down a little bit and pick him apart, and he's gonna try to do the opposite. So, we will see. I think it's gonna be back and forth, and I think it's gonna be a fun fight."
