ONE Fight Night 33: Earning a World Title shot in a debut bout speaks volumes about a fighter's character and resilience. Sweden's Johanna Persson is set to clash with the long-reigning ONE Women's Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.
The Swedish and Brazilian strikers will headline ONE Fight Night 33 on 12 July, live from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. This bout presents a golden opportunity for Persson to capture the strap in her debut - a feat her opponent also achieved in 2020.

The WBC Muay Thai World Champion is riding a seven-fight win streak, proving she belongs among the top women's strikers on the planet. Persson's years of hard work have finally paid off.
With a professional record of 13-3, Persson will go above and beyond to script history. The Sitjaopho Muay Thai and Gefle Fight Camp representative says this opportunity means a lot to her and fighting for a ONE World Title is a dream-come-true moment.
"It means everything. This is what I've been working for over the past seven years, and now I've got a shot at my goal - fighting for the belt and competing in ONE Championship," Persson said. "I can't actually describe how big of a dream this is."
Standing toe-to-toe with her is a dominant champion who has decimated the likes of Thai megastar Stamp Fairtex, Janet Todd, Cristina Morales, and Marie McManamon. Following a stoppage victory in her most recent outing, Rodrigues' confidence will be sky high.
However, Persson has overcome adversity several times in her life, and she is ready for the biggest challenge of her career. The European star's goal is to press forward relentlessly and then finish her with elbows.
"I love to push the pace and press forward. My main goal is to press forward and conquer a fight," Persson said. "I want to implement my rhythm in a fight. It's going to be done with elbows. That's all I can say."
