ONE Fight Night 33 Results: Rodrigues Annihilates Persson, Retains Atomweight Title

ONE Fight Night 33 delivered explosive action from inside Bangkok, Thailand's iconic Lumpinee Stadium on Saturday, July 12. The event featured eight thrilling contests across MMA and Muay Thai disciplines.

In the main event, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues defeated Johanna Persson by third-round knockout to retain her ONE Women's Atomweight Muay Thai World Title. The Brazilian controlled the fight with step-in elbows, body kicks, and clinch work throughout the contest.

Rodrigues dropped Persson with a left hook in round three, and after the challenger rose, she targeted the body before landing another left hook at the 0:59 mark of the round. The victory improved Rodrigues to 35-7 and earned her a US$50,000 performance bonus from ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Shadow Singha Mawynn faced Mohamed Younes Rabah in a co-main event featherweight Muay Thai bout. Shadow scored the only knockdown of the fight with a counter right hand after dodging Rabah's one-two combination in round one.

However, the bout was declared a no contest when an unintentional eye poke from Shadow early in round two left Rabah unable to continue. Following the ringside doctor's advice, the fight was officially stopped and ruled a no contest.

Elsewhere, Abdulla Dayakaev made a statement with a lightning-fast knockout of Nontachai Jitmuangnon at just 0:24 of round one. The explosive finish highlighted another action-packed night for the promotion's monthly global show.
