ONE Fight Night 45: Luke Lessei Delivers Career-Best Performance To Outpoint Mohamed Younes Rabah

Bangkok, July 18: Luke "The Chef" Lessei produced a composed and clinical performance to defeat Mohamed Younes Rabah by unanimous decision in the featherweight Muay Thai main event at ONE Fight Night 45. Lessei's victory in the headline bout capped off an action-packed card that showcased several impressive finishes and standout performances.

Rabah edged the opener with a high kick and punishing body hooks that rattled Lessei's ribs. The American reset in round two, landed a sharp counter punch on separation that sparked a bunch of punches, visibly shook the Algerian, and pulled ahead for the first time.

Body kicks and left hands stunned Rabah in the third before both men traded hard until the bell. Three judges sided with the Iowa native across three increasingly dominant rounds. Lessei improved to 9-3 and positioned himself as next in line for Regian Eersel's ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title.

In the co-main event, Suablack Tor Pran49 survived an early knockdown to stop Stephen Irvine via KO at 1:39 of round two in his flyweight Muay Thai debut, earning a US$50,000 performance bonus. Irvine dropped the Thai with a counter right hand in round one, but Suablack kept fighting.

The second round saw Irvine drop Suablack again before both locked up in the clinch. On separation, Suablack stepped in with a single left elbow that sent the Scotsman crashing to the canvas, unable to beat the count. Suablack improved to 63-23 in a thunderous flyweight debut.
