ONE Fight Night 48: Undefeated Shamil Erdogan to face Paul Elliott In Heavyweight Clash
ONE Championship has unveiled two explosive matchups for ONE Fight Night 48, highlighted by a heavyweight collision between two forces in the division. Undefeated Turkish behemoth Shamil Erdogan will square off against British behemoth Paul Elliott in the main event on Saturday, October 3.
The heavyweight showdown carries significant championship implications, with the winner potentially positioning himself for a future opportunity at the promotion's vacant heavyweight throne.

ONE Fight Night 48: The Clashes
Erdogan, born and based in Dagestan, has been utterly dominant since stepping into ONE, boasting a perfect 13-0 MMA record with a flawless 5-0 mark inside the promotion, all coming via finish.
His resume already includes victories over legendary competition, having finished Aung La N Sang and Gilberto Galvao, along with a recent stoppage win over Ryugo Takeuchi. Erdogan's ability to end fights on the feet or the canvas has made him one of the division's most feared rising stars.
Standing across from him will be the 34-year-old Elliott, a British finisher who has silenced doubters following a rocky promotional start. Representing Akurei MMA Academy and TFT MMA, Elliott holds a 7-2 record with all seven victories coming by finish.
Elliott has rebounded emphatically with back-to-back knockout wins, most recently delivering one of the year's most jaw-dropping finishes. In June, he needed just six seconds to knock out Regan Upshaw with a head kick at ONE Fight Night 44, instantly cementing his status as a legitimate heavyweight threat.
In additional action, America's top Muay Thai talent Luke Lessei will square off against English striker Charlie Guest in a featherweight Muay Thai showdown. Lessei enters off a unanimous decision win over Mohamed Younes Rabah in his ONE Fight Night 45 headlining performance.
Meanwhile, Guest looks to build on a standout debut that saw him drop Sam Fitzgerald three times en route to a TKO victory. With no clear frontrunner currently atop the featherweight Muay Thai ranks, this matchup offers both men a genuine opportunity to make a statement.
