ONE Fight Night 7: Eko Roni Saputra Puts Seven-Fight Winning Streak On The Line Against Danny Kingad

Bangkok, February 6: Eko Roni Saputra hasn't lost a match in several years, and the Indonesian superstar doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon.

The flyweight will face #3-ranked Danny Kingad in an MMA matchup on Saturday, 25 February, at ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Saputra is renowned for his formidable wrestling and submission techniques, while "The King" is known for his tenacity and willingness to go the distance.

Kingad should be aware, as the rest of the world is, of Saputra's remarkable ability to end his fights in the first round.

It makes no difference to the 31-year-old whether he wins via submission or knockout. He has spent only 17 minutes total in the Circle in eight fights, with an average bout duration of two minutes and 12 seconds.

Saputra is one of the rare few to hold a 100 percent finishing rate. Additionally, his 7-1 MMA record is impressive, as is his freestyle wrestling record of 116-10. It's clear that the multiple-time Indonesian National Wrestling Champion doesn't like to lose.

His most recent bout was against Yodkaikaew Fairtex at ONE 162: Zhang vs. Di Bella in October 2022, where he swiftly secured a submission victory over "Y2K" in less than three minutes.

He was rewarded with a US$50,000 bonus for his performance and continued his winning streak to seven first-round finishes in a row.

The Indonesian has faced a number of contenders in the flyweight division to their detriment, including Liu Peng Shuai, who he defeated by 10-second knockout at ONE: BATTLEGROUND II in August 2021.

In this matchup, Saputra will face one of Team Lakay's best. His 27-year-old Filipino foe has defeated tenacious opponents such as Reece McLaren and Yuya Wakamatsu.

Kingad also has a strong wushu background and has proven that he can perform well whether the fight is on the ground or standing.

If Saputra can add #3-ranked contender Kingad to his list of conquests, he may be able to break into the top five of the flyweight rankings.

Don't miss any of the must-see action at ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade on Saturday, 25 February, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
