Bangkok, February 10: Tawanchai PK.Saenchai excited to fight at home and has said he is hungry for victory over Jamal Yusupov at the upcoming ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade II on February 25.

There's few 23-year-olds that are at the top of their game in the same way as the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion, who has had an incredible year and will continue his stride when he makes his first World Title defense in the co-main event at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

As a veteran of the world-famous stadium, the Thai superstar is eager to revisit the place where he found so much success, including the accolade of Lumpinee Stadium Fighter of the Year.

"It's [a] nostalgic feeling. Lumpinee is the most respected stadium, which has accommodated the best Muay Thai fighters. There are so many that become well-known after fighting in this stadium," he said.

"It's very encouraging for me to fight where I spent a lot of time in, where all the fans can come to support me. I'll put all my effort into this fight. I don't want my fans to be disappointed in me."

Tawanchai has yet to let his fans down, especially after racking up a three-fight winning streak in ONE.

The PK.Saenchai athlete most recently dethroned Petchmorakot Petchyindee by unanimous decision for the featherweight belt at ONE 161 in September 2022. Prior to that battle, Tawanchai put his knockout power on display against #5-ranked contender Niclas Larsen in the second round at ONE 158 in June 2022.

While he is one of the younger fighters in the featherweight division, Tawanchai has performed well on a roster filled with some of the biggest names in Muay Thai. He is currently 4-1 in the organization, with an overall record of 128-31-2. The ONE World Champion also owns a 75 percent finishing rate in the Circle, with three of his victories coming by way of knockout.

This experience can only prepare him for the danger that lies ahead in Yusupov.

"Yeniceri" is 3-0 in ONE Championship, with victories against prolific fighters such as Yodsanklai Fairtex, Samy Sana, and Jo Nattawut. He also holds a professional record of 54-9 and is a three-time Russian kickboxing champion.

However, Tawanchai has yet to be fazed by his foe's accolades. He instead remains focused on bringing the belt back to Thailand.

"Of course he has extensive fighting experiences, but they're not superior to mine. The key in this fight is my inner fire. I'm hungry for the victory. I'll never give up on anything easily," Tawanchai said.

Don't miss any of the must-see action at ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade II on Saturday, 25 February, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
