ONE Fight Night 8: Janet Todd’s Top 3 Performances In ONE Championship

En route to the #1 contender's spot, the American has notched some incredible wins along the way, as well as multiple highlight-reel finishes.

Singapore, March 21: ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Interim Muay Thai World Champion Janet "JT" Todd has long been a viable threat in the ONE's all-striking atomweight categories, and inside the Circle her talents have continued to flourished.

Now, the Todd will look to reach the pinnacle of her combat sports career when she challenges Allycia Hellen Rodrigues for the latter's atomweight Muay Thai crown on Saturday, 25 March, at ONE Fight Night 8.

Janet Todd

En route to the #1 contender's spot, the American has notched some incredible wins along the way, as well as multiple highlight-reel finishes. With that said, let's look at Todd's top three performances inside the Circle.

Stamp Fairtex II

Following a loss to Stamp Fairtex in her promotional debut, Todd came up against the Thai superstar for the second time at ONE: KING OF THE JUNGLE in February 2020.

Todd exacted revenge on the then-two-sport ONE World Champion, taking home the ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Title after earning a split-decision victory.

The victory proved a testament to Todd's will to come back after coming up short in their first meeting. Having done her homework, Todd stood tall with gold in hand on that night.

Anne Line Hogstad

When "JT's" fire burns, it's impossible to put out, and those who've crossed her wave of momentum have only added more fuel to her flames.

Back at "ONE on TNT II" in April 2021, the Californian clubber was riding high on a five-fight winning streak when she met Anne Line Hogstad in atomweight Muay Thai competition.

Hogstad managed to endure almost three rounds of Todd's Muay Thai fury, but the third round proved too much to handle for Hogstad.

As the two locked horns, it was the 37-year-old who landed better strikes just before launching a left body kick that knocked the wind out of Hogstad. The kick left the Norwegian unable to answer the referee's count, gifting the win to the American.

Ekaterina Vandaryeva

In what has arguably been her most memorable stoppage throughout her ONE tenure, Todd met Ekaterina "Barbie" Vandaryeva back at ONE: CENTURY in October 2019.

Having controlled the bout throughout the first stanza with the her chopping kicks and unorthodox combinations, Todd began to run away with the contest in the second frame.

With her combinations mixing up well, the atomweight kickboxing queen caught the Belarusian "Barbie" off guard to land a flush high kick to the head.

The kick was all she needed that night. When a delirious Vandaryeva wobbled and fell to the mat afterward, it was clear Todd's work was done.

The American has continued to develop her arsenal over the course of her eight appearances inside the Circle, and next Friday, she will look to showcase the grandest one of them all when she attempts to unify the ONE World Titles against Rodrigues.
