ONE Fight Night 8: Striking Superstars Rodtang And Superlek Slated To Face Off

The spectacular striking showdown is slated for Saturday, 25 March, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Rodtang Jitmuangnon to collide at ONE Fight Night 8

Singapore, February 9: The fight gods have finally answered the prayers of ONE's global fan base as ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon will make a bid for ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9's brand new belt at ONE Fight Night 8.

The spectacular striking showdown is slated for Saturday, 25 March, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. For anyone that loves stand-up fighting, this is a must-see battle between two of the best strikers on ONE's roster.

"The Iron Man" is known for his rock-hard chin and forward pressure in the Circle, having beaten the likes of Jonathan Haggerty, Danial Williams, and Petchdam Petchyindee.

Rodtang fearlessly strives for greatness. He has accomplished everything from defending his belt from ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Joseph Lasiri to stepping into a special rules super-fight against MMA GOAT and ONE Flyweight World Champion Demetrious Johnson.

The Thai has become famous for his playful banter in the Circle, allowing his opponents to land heavy blows on his face while he continues to pressure forward. Rodtang is an intimidating prospect, and as the five-time ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion, has proven time and again that he is a dangerous athlete.

He faces an incredible challenge in "The Kicking Machine," a savvy striker with a heavy left kick that likes to fight off his back foot. Superlek recently defeated Daniel Puertas at ONE Fight Night 6: Superbon vs. Allazov in January for the kickboxing World Title, putting him on a four-fight winning streak.

The Kiatmoo9 superstar has faced and beaten nearly every top-five kickboxing contender as of late, including #2-ranked contender Panpayak Jitmuangnon and #3-ranked contender Taiki Naito. Taking on Rodtang is the logical next step for Superlek to continue his legacy.

The compatriots have a lot in common, including stellar fight records and accolades. Rodtang owns a 270-42-10 record and is a two-time Omnoi Stadium World Champion. His 27-year-old opponent has a 132-29-4 fight record, and has been a Lumpinee Stadium World Champion twice.

Fans can be sure that sparks will fly when Superlek and Rodtang finally meet, given the incredible fighting skills of both fighters.

Up next, don't miss any of the must-see action at ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade II on Saturday, 25 February, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
