ONE Friday Fights 12 Results And Recap: Petsukumvit Impresses Against Kongthoranee

ONE Friday Fights 12, which went down inside the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 7, was another stacked card that delivered as expected.

In the main event of the evening, Petsukumvit Boi Bangna registered his third successive promotional victory with a striking clinic that dispatched Kongthoranee Sor Sommai after three jam-packed rounds.

The pair swapped stinging leg kicks to test each other's defense early in the bout. However, when Petsukumvit was done with that, he advanced with powerful combinations to shut down his rival's attacks.

The An Sukhumvit athlete didn't slow down from then on. He walked forward and mixed targets, head-hunted with punches, and dug in with crushing knees to Kongthoranee's midsection.

Although the Sor Sommai representative looked like a punching bag for the majority of the tie, he did attempt to inflict damage with his elbows and jab-straight combinations.

None of that seemed to dent Petsukumvit's confidence, though. If anything, the Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion ate the shots like a nice meal.

After three rounds of action, Petsukumvit was handed the unanimous decision win to improve his overall striking record to 63-26.

In the night's co-main event, Petlampun Muadablampang earned the nod on all three scorecards with a stellar display against Sunvo Tded99.

Petlampun put all his striking weapons to good use throughout their 130-pound catchweight Muay Thai contest, and he gained his second consecutive win in ONE Championship as a result.

Away from the two high-octane main attractions of the evening, the superstars who competed on the rest of the bill gave the audience what they wanted - knockouts in abundance.

In total, there were seven highlight-reel finishes at ONE Friday Fights 12, six of them coming from the Muay Thai and one from the night's opening featherweight MMA bout.
