ONE Friday Fights 20 Results: Jaosuayai Sends Petsukumvit Packing With First-Round KO

ONE Championship kicked off its June doubleheader with ONE Friday Fights 20 inside the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, June 9, and the action-packed card easily lived up to the hype.

In the headline bout, Jaosuayai Sor Dechapan blessed the fans in the mecca of Muay Thai by scoring a cracking first-round knockout at the expense of Petsukumvit Boi Bangna in his ONE debut.

What was expected to be a nail-biting flyweight Muay Thai affair was wrapped up in 150 seconds, with Jaosuayai staying dominant throughout.

The Thai star sent his countryman to the canvas not once but twice in the contest. He first landed a right uppercut square on Petsukumvit's jaw at the midway point of the opening frame.

But the two-time Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion answered the referee's eight-count with ease. As soon as the contest resumed, however, Jaosuayai forced him to retreat again with his concussive punching power.

At that point, the Sor Dechapan athlete's hands were consistently finding a home, and shortly after going to work at his rival's midsection, he landed a solid right hook that left Petsukumvit down and out for good. The win improved Jaosuayai's combined striking record to 53-19-2.

Just before the two flyweight Muay Thai strikers duked it out in the main event, Theptaksin Sor Sornsing and Yodkritsada Sor Sommai went the distance in their 132-pound catchweight Muay Thai duel.

After going all three rounds in their first meeting earlier this year, both men were fired up to find a finish. But after fighting right up to the closing bell, Theptaksin was awarded a second victory over his Thai compatriot - this time by split decision.
