ONE Friday Fights 26 Results: Kulabdam-Rafi Bohic Ends In No Contest, Apiwat Gains Redemption

ONE Friday Fights 26 brought another night of high-octane battles to the celebrated Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 21. The 12-fight bill thrilled the audience from start to finish, although the headliner bout ended in a relatively anticlimactic manner.

The bantamweight Muay Thai main event showdown between striking superstars Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai and Rafi Bohic, both former Lumpinee Stadium World Champions, came to a close following an inadvertent eye poke.

Both men traded heavy low kicks and teeps at the sound of the bell, but Kulabdam's aggressiveness allowed him to beat his opposite number to the punch with a left to the skull while teasing a body shot that got the Frenchman's attention.

In response, the Singpatong Gym standout warmed his fists and replied with a stiff left jab that caught the Thai's face. Unfortunately, during that exchange, he unintentionally grazed his opponent in the eye.

"Left Meteorite" took the time out to recover. But with his vision heavily strained, the doctor deemed the 24-year-old unfit to continue. However, given the hype of this duel, both men would be more than happy to collide and give the fans an epic battle for the ages.

Just before the pair met inside "The Mecca of Muay Thai," Apiwat Sor Somnuk and Denkriangkrai Singha Mawynn served a striking clinic in their 128-pound catchweight Muay Thai contest, much to the pleasure of the crowd inside the Thai capital.

In a rematch of their ONE Friday Fights 17 contest, Apiwat regained one back against his rival after a strong performance throughout the nine-minute duel. His constant aggression and ability to outsmart his opposite number helped him onto a first win on the global stage of ONE Championship.
