ONE Friday Fights 34: 3 Under The Radar Fights To Watch

By Mike Joseph

ONE Friday Fights 34: Rodtang vs. Superlek is just days away. The card is stacked with current and former Muay Thai World Champions from top to bottom, and it looks to be the biggest ONE Friday Fights card of the year.

The action takes place this Friday, 22 September, inside Bangkok, Thailand's historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, which is set to host one of the most anticipated superfight.

ONE Friday Fights 34 card is stacked with must-wach fights

And while the monumental clash between Rodtang and Superlek is taking center stage, there's plenty of pivotal bouts you might not know about. Here are three fights to watch at ONE Friday Fights 34.

3 Under The Radar Fights To Watch in ONE Friday Fights 34

1. Seksan Or Kwangmuang vs. Amir Naseri: Seksan Or Kwangmuang has quickly become a staple of the ONE Friday Fights series. "The Man Who Yields to No One" has been involved in one scintillating battle after another.

The Thai striker has proven to be untouchable in ONE so far, going 5-0 against names such as Nathan Bendon, Sean Clancy, and Tyson Harrison. His most recent victory over Isaac Araya also earned him the lucrative US$100,000 contract.

But Amir Naseri has a point to prove. The Iranian scrapper hasn't yet managed to notch his first ONE victory. And if he can do so against the powerhouse that is Seksan, his stock will double in the Muay Thai world.

2. Prajanchai PK Saenchai vs. Akram Hamidi: While awaiting the return of ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Joseph Lasiri, current divisional interim king Prajanchai PK Saenchai is now taking his talents to the sport of kickboxing.

The Thai striker recently claimed the interim crown against Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE Friday Fights 22 in July. Prajanchai knocked out the former strawweight Muay Thai king in the second round to extend his winning streak to 2-0.

Hamidi is a Muay Thai standout who made his debut that same night. The Algerian obliterated Jomhod Auto MuayThai in the second round. And if he can surpass the striking expertise of Prajanchai, he may find himself propelling up the strawweight ranks for a World Title shot of his own.

3. Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai vs. Tyson Harrison: Two fan favorites will collide on Friday's card. Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai and Tyson Harrison have quickly built resumes for partaking in slugfests. So the meeting between the two is not one to miss.

Kulabdam has become a stalwart member of ONE's bantamweight Muay Thai division with nine bouts to his name. The Thai striker was last seen at ONE Friday Fights 21, but his matchup with Rafi Bohic ended in a no contest. And he'll hope to pick up his momentum this Friday.

On the other hand, Harrison has developed an incredible catalog of fights in a short span in ONE - win or lose. "John Wayne Noi" has gone to war with Seksan, Pongsiri PK Saenchai, and Tapaokaew Singha Mawynn since debuting in January.

And with another strong performance over Kulabdam this week, the Aussie standout could find himself clutching a US$100,000 contract for his efforts at the end of the night.

ONE Friday Fights 34 is certainly not a card to miss. And with it being headlined by Muay Thai's biggest fight in modern history, Friday's action from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium will be one to remember.
