ONE Championship returned to Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, 8 December, for another night of elite martial arts action. There, ONE Friday Fights 44 set the tone for this weekend's double-header of fights.
The main event marked the return of Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri as he battled Ilyas Musaev across three rounds of Muay Thai action in an affair that went down to the wire.

After a close first round that saw the duo go strike-for-strike, Yod-IQ began to pick up the pace and edge out Musaev as the contest continued. But the Russian knockout artist's will never wilted.
Musaev began to throw unorthodox strikes to remain in the contest, unleashing spinning elbows. But Yod-IQ's technical abilities allowed him to avoid damage en route to the split-decision win as he returned to winning ways.
The co-main event saw Pompet PK Saenchai stop Rittidet Sor Sommai in the third round of their 134-pound Muay Thai encounter, and the 25-year-old returned to the victory column with a fantastic showing.
Rittidet showed off his striking talents across the three rounds, managing to weather Rittidet's storm before blistering the tiring Pompet. And when the opportunity came for the finish, the Thai unleashed a barrage of strikes to force the stoppage at 1:56 of round three.
