ONE Friday Fights 48 returned for the second consecutive week of 2024 with another action packed card of fighting festivities on Friday, 19 January. And once more, the event delivered from top to bottom.
The headline attraction pitted Kongthoranee Sor Sommai and Sharif Mazoriev against one another in a flyweight Muay Thai main event that was an absolute firecracker across three rounds as the former extended his winning streak by unanimous decision.

The two-time Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion took his licks early on from Mazoriev, whose confidence only began to soar higher and higher with each passing second as he maintained control of the early goings.
But much to the grit of Kongthoranee, that wasn't going to stay that way for long. After eating a right hand, Kongthoranee was on full alert and began to change the flow of the contest and force the Russian on the backfoot.
The 27-year-old had battled back into the contest in fine fashion. Kongthoranee was not going to be denied as his barrages began to add up, forcing the Russian to go down. From there, Mazoriev ate another brutal elbow inside the clinch to go down again with seconds to go.
Luck would certainly favor the Russian as he lived to tell the tale, but there were no doubts in the arena when Kongthoranee took home the unanimous decision win to earn his sixth consecutive victory in ONE.
In the co-main event, Aekkalak Sor Samarngarment stomped his authority against Petsansab Sor Jaruwan with a standout performance against his fellow Thai, etching out a unanimous decision following a three-round war.
Aekkalak made himself known in the early goings, smashing Petsansab with a head kick to put himself ahead on the scorecards. It was almost as if the knockdown woke Petsansab up, but from there he was chasing Aekkalak down.
Despite his efforts, the awareness and striking arsenal of Aekkalak was too much to overcome as the Sor Samarngarement man left with the unanimous decision victory against his fierce rival.
