ONE Friday Fights 53 delivered an unbelievable night of combat sports action that's certain to keep the fans coming back for more week after week, with another offering of Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA contests.
Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, saw a monumental main event this past Friday, 23 February, when Kongsuk Fairtex and Petsukumvit Boi Bangna put it all on the line across an incredible three-round flyweight Muay Thai extravaganza, with Kongsuk edging out the unanimous decision to return to winning ways.

Early on, Kongsuk took control of the bout and utilized his timing well by landing multiple body kicks to slow down Petsukumvit. The kicks began to pay off, allowing Kongsuk to land multiple combinations on his compatriot to finish the round strong.
Insanity then ensued as Petsukumvit fought his way back into the contest. Elbows were thrown and knees were hammered into the stomach of Kongsuk to force a standing eight-count. But the latter managed to escape to see the final frame.
Sensing an opportunity, Petsukumvit entered the final frame, guns blazing. But the eagerness allowed Kongsuk to find an opening to drop his adversary with a right hand. The tide had changed and Kongsuk remained on the front foot, dropping Petsukumvit once more to go ahead on the judges' cards.
After the dust settled, Kongsuk took home the unanimous decision to move to 63-17-5 overall. He now takes one step closer to the lucrative six-figure contract with the regained momentum.
The co-main event saw veterans collide as Mongkolkaew Sor Sommai overcame Denkriangkai Singha Mawynn with a clinical performance to also pick up the unanimous decision victory in 130-pound catchweight Muay Thai action.
Mongkolkaew utilized his signature elbows and kneeing abilities to get ahead in the contest. While Denkriangkrai wasn't out of the fight, Mongkolkaew read his compatriot's attacks to neutralize the veteran and return to the win column.
