Former ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn is no stranger to Marat Grigorian. The pair have crossed paths on two separate occasions, sharing the score at one win apiece. But when the kickboxers meet next month, Superbon plans to settle the trilogy once and for all.
Superbon meets Grigorian in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 58 next Friday, 5 April, inside Bangkok, Thailand's iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium - but this time, the ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Title will be on the line.

The history between the two dates back to 2018, when Grigorian stopped Superbon in under 30 seconds. But in their 2022 rematch at ONE X, Superbon bested Grigorian by unanimous decision. The Thai star has studied the Armenian closely, and leading into their grudge match, Superbon doesn't see anything worrisome.
"I think I have improved more than Marat. He still fights in the same way as our first fight that I lost. He's strong, but his style is still the same," Superbon said.
"What I'm better at than Marat is skills. I have more weapons in my arsenal, such as kicks, knee strikes, punches, and push kicks, while Marat only has punches. That's why I can dominate him."
Trilogies between two fighters are always pivotal clashes. Bragging rights are on the line. The final say is there to be had. But an extra flavor in ONE Friday Fights 58's main event is the interim title. And that gives Superbon all the extra motivation he needs.
Defeating Grigorian will provide Superbon with plenty of satisfaction. But it will also see him attain the interim gold. That takes him one step closer to ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Chingiz Allazov, who dethroned him in January 2022.
"[Winning the interim title] would mean a lot to me because I want to redeem myself against Chingiz. To win this fight is to guarantee that I will have a chance to rematch with him," Superbon said. "Chingiz was a blemish on my career. I will go back to him and get revenge."
