ONE Friday Fights 71 landed in Bangkok, Thailand's Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, 19 July, and it lit up the fabled venue with 12 action-packed bouts across Muay Thai and MMA.
The main event saw a frantic 116-pound catchweight Muay Thai rematch go down as Songchainoi Kiatsongrit and Rak Erawan ran their first meeting back and fought tooth-and-nail across three intense rounds.

Having left victorious from the first outing, Songchainoi had every reason to be confident entering the headline affair, and he proceeded to prove that he was the better man by landing a litany of body kicks from the get go.
Rak answered back with a heavy flurry in the second round, putting Songchainoi on the back foot and leading to a thrilling tit-for-tat battle that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
The Thai pair refused to ease off the gas in the final stanza, and both men hunted for the fatal blow. Neither got it, however, so the judges handed Songchainoi the unanimous decision win thanks to his relentless pressure across the nine minutes of action.
The featured bout of the evening saw Ilyas Musaev return to the winners' column with a second-round knockout victory over Superball Wankhongohm MBK in their 142-pound catchweight Muay Thai tilt.
Superball got off to a good start, and he utilized his signature leg kicks to assert dominance. But they began to become telegraphed by Musaev, who read them expertly to drop his man in the dying second of round one.
When the second round kicked off, Musaev terrorized Superball with a multitude of leg kicks to slow him down. He then fired off a crisp barrage of strikes to end the contest at 0:55 of round two. Check out the full results of ONE Lumpinee 71:
