After 80 hard-hitting spectacles, ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut is the biggest of them all - and it's only days away from taking place inside Bangkok, Thailand's Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, 27 September.
The star-studded card sees the return of combat sports icons, but the thrilling bout at the top of the event is what everyone is talking about. There, ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon meets #2-ranked contender Jo Nattawut in an intriguing collision under Muay Thai rules.

Sitting as the top two contenders in the featherweight Muay Thai division, there are plenty of ramifications at hand for both men. For Superbon, ONE Friday Fights 81 provides him an opportunity to cement a rematch with divisional king Tawanchai PK Saenchai.
The kickboxing great fought his compatriot over five rounds last December at ONE Friday Fights 46, losing a unanimous decision. That was his first time competing in 'the art of eight limbs' in his four-year run in the promotion.
But now that he feels much more acquainted with the finer margins of the discipline, he's ready to make another run at completing his dream of becoming a two-sport ONE World Champion.
That said, Superbon returned to his bread and butter this past April at ONE Friday Fights 58 when he dispatched Marat Grigorian by unanimous decision after outwitting the deadly Armenian to claim the interim featherweight kickboxing gold.
And while he waits for the chance to unify belts, he has a stern task in overcoming Nattawut. The "Smokin'" one has had a resurgence in recent times, testing Tawanchai's limits on two occasions.
Eventually, he came up short against the stoic champ, but in between those thrilling bouts, Nattawut took part in a barnburner against American star Luke Lessei at ONE Fight Night 17 last December where he earned a very valuable decision win.
The 35-year-old has a busy end of year with a third clash with Tawanchai already set for November at ONE 169: Atlanta, and he knows defeating a striking legend like Superbon would do wonders for his momentum heading into the pivotal World Title clash.
Should Superbon win, he could set up a sequel with Tawanchai in the near future. The stakes couldn't be higher in this pivotal main event. On top of that, mixing a relentless puncher against a calculated veteran, ONE Friday Fights 81's headliner has all the makings of being a showstopper.
