Bangkok, March 17: At just 30 years old, ONE Lightweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Regian Eersel has accomplished more than most in the fight business.

And the Dutch-Surinamese superstar continued his incredible drive forward by successfully defending his lightweight Muay Thai crown in a heated rematch with Sinsamut Klinmee at ONE Friday Fights 9 inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The two-sport ONE World Champion added another victory to his tally at the star-studded event, giving him 21 wins in a row.

Sinsamut was clearly eager to finish "The Immortal" from the start of the main event bout, and he jumped into heavy low kicks and intense pressure that gave him the edge in the early rounds

The Thai star threw flurries of punches and single leg kicks to keep the World Champion at bay, but Eersel continued to close the gap between him and his foe. He relied on his trademark jumping knees and battering blows to repel his attacks and retaliated against every strike Sinsamut threw.

Eersel capitalized on his momentum by keeping Sinsamut on the ropes when the fourth round got underway. And when the Team Mehdi Zatout star bent forward, "The Immortal" landed a perfect left, knocking his opposite man down for the count.

The co-main event saw the fourth meeting of Muangthai PK Saenchai and Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai in bantamweight Muay Thai action. Initially, "Left Meteorite" kept the pressure on Muangthai and forced him to fight off the back foot.

"Elbow Zombie" lived up to his moniker in the third round, however, when he knocked out Kulabdam with a brutal elbow to score a crucial win. The rival rivalry between the two striking star now sits at 2-1-1 in favor of Muangthai, who is now on a three-fight winning streak in ONE.
