ONE Friday Fights 96 got the second double-header of the year off to a flying start inside Bangkok, Thailand's famed Lumpinee Stadium on 7 February as more combat sports hopefuls continued to chase a US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship.
The main event saw Komawut FA Group extend his winning streak to three in a row as he earned a second-round stoppage over Panrit Lukjaomaesaiwaree in 142-pound catchweight Muay Thai action.

Panrit bolted out the gate early, with the intent to rush his Thai compatriot and catch him off guard. But Komawut took his time and landed the better low kicks and sharper strikes across the first three minutes.
The tide turned in the second frame, though, as the 25-year-old took the fight to Panrit. And in just 20 seconds, Komawut downed his foe with a huge right hand. Panrit then attempted to find his feet, but Komawut wasted no time in landing a sneaky right hand at 0:46 of round two to put him out for the count.
In the featured bout of the night, Abdulla Dayakaev realized his dream of joining ONE Championship after he stormed through Italy's Alessio Malatesta, needing less than three minutes in their bantamweight Muay Thai bout to do so.
The round started tensely, but Malatesta's aggression soon saw him bring the fight to his Russian counterpart and land the better strikes. However, Dayakaev weathered the storm and put his Italian counterpart against the ropes.
From there, that position allowed Dayakaev to land a thunderous straight right to Malatesta's sternum. That forced him to the mat and down for the count at 2:37 of round one to earn the US$100,000 with ONE Championship. Here is a look at the final results of ONE Lumpinee 96:
