ONGC 2nd div National League Tournament to begin from Mar 25

Kolhapur, Mar 21 (UNI) The ONGC 2nd division National League Football Tournament will begin from March 25 at the Chhatrapati Shahu stadium here.

The tournament is being conducted by All India Football Federation, New Delhi, in co-operation with the Western India Football Association, Mumbai and Kolhapur Sports Association (KSA).

Announcing this at a press conference here today, KSA Patron-in-Chief Shrimant Shahu Chhatrapati Maharaj, city MLA and tournament organising committee chief Maloji Raje said the 15-day long tournament will be played on league basis.

Players who played in national and inter-national level tournaments will be seen in action. They said that Kohlapur will get an opportunity for the first time to watch well known teams and its players.

The teams playing in the league include Mohamadan Sporting Club (Kolkata), Mumbai Football Club (Mumbai), Osean's New Delhi Heroes (New Delhi), Oil India (Assam), Indian Bank (Tamilnadu) and Amity United Football Club (Hariyana), they said.
