ONGC hold Salgaocar

Kozhikode, Mar 31 (UNI) ONGC Mumbai held former champions Salgaocar Goa to a 1-1 draw in the second division National Football League here today.

Taking a pass from Kabijit Khotel, striker Tarif Ahmed scored for the oilmen through a header in the 36th minute.

Jerose Oleivera equalised for the Goan side by converting a penalty kick in to a goal in the 54th minute.

With this, Salgaocar are leading the table with five points followed by Vasco (4), VIVA Kerala (3), ONGC and Army XI New Delhi (2 each) and Chirag United Calcutta 1.

VIVA will take on VASCO tomorrow.
