IPL 2024: LSG vs CSK Award Winners, Man of The Match, Post-Match Presentation, Scorecard & Records
Bhubaneswar, Nov 3 (UNI) Over 1500 women sportspersons from across the state are scheduled to participate in the four-day mega event of Orissa State Women Sports Festival, 2008, at Kalinga stadium here from November 5.
Organised by the Sports and Youth Service department, the participants will vie for medals in eleven disciplines, including Volleyball, Khokho, Basketball, Kabadi, Tennis and Badminton.
State Panchayatiraj Minister Raghunath Mohanty is scheduled to inaugurate the festival.
The winners of the festival will represent the state in the national Women Sports Festival scheduled to held in three phases at Bhubaneswar, Kolkata and Himachal Pradesh.
While the national Khokho, Kabadi, Volleyball and Gymnastic would be held at Kolkata from November 12 to 15, Tennis, Hockey, Athletic and Badminton completions would be held at Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh from December 26 to 29.
Swimming, table tennis, handball and basketball competitions would be held at Bhubaneswar from January 18 to 21.
