P S Ram Mohan Rao Trophy begins tomorrow

Panaji, Feb 11 (UNI) Hyderabad, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Goa will vie for top honours in the under-25 South Zone Inter-State limited overs P S Ram Mohan Rao Trophy cricket tournament that begins tomorrow till February 18 at three different venues in Goa.

The six teams will play on league basis and three matches will be played everyday. There will be no matches on February 14 and 17 which will be the rest days.

On the opening day, Hyderabad will take on Kerala and Andhra Pradesh will play against Karnataka in South Goa, while the third match between Goa and Tamil Nadu will be played at Panjim Gymkhana ground in North Goa.

Meanwhile, Goa Cricket Association (GCA) announced its 20-member team, which will be led by Sachin Sardesai.

Team: Sachin Sardesai (Captain), Rama Kalangutkar (Vice-Captain), Alokh Shirodkar, Sandeep D'Mello, Madhu Kamat, Vidhadhar Kamat, Vithalraj Sangoldkar, Chandu Lamani, Ratish Pednekar, Anil Valjee, Rigan Pinto, Kiran Pednekar, Amit Yadhav, Rajshekar Harikant, Gaurang Dhuri, Jayram Naik, Shishir Diwkar, Yogesh Chodankar, Mahableshwar Korgaokar and Dipesh Naik.
