The Indiana Pacers celebrated a significant victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers, ending their 12-game winning streak with a 108-93 win. Despite losing key player Tyrese Haliburton in the second half, Andrew Nembhard stepped up, scoring 19 points. Pascal Siakam contributed with 18 points and nine rebounds. This marked Indiana's sixth consecutive win, showcasing their resilience after trailing 53-40 at halftime.
Nembhard expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance, acknowledging the challenge of facing the league-leading Cavaliers. "There was nothing to lose, this is the best team [Cavaliers] in the league right now," he stated during an interview on the FanDuel Sports Network. He emphasised their need to play hard and together, focusing on defensive physicality.

The Pacers' defense was crucial in their success, as they became the first team this season to hold the Cavaliers under 100 points. Their connected defense allowed them to overcome mistakes by supporting each other and making crucial plays. The team outscored Cleveland 68-40 in the second half, limiting them to a mere 28.2% field-goal rate.
For Cleveland, this loss marked only their fifth defeat of the season. They remain at the top of the Eastern Conference with a record of 33-5. Coach Kenny Atkinson expressed frustration over their inconsistent performance between halves. "What disappointed me was our first half was phenomenal, defensively, and then the second half, we fell off," Atkinson remarked.
Despite this setback for Cleveland, they continue to lead in their conference standings. The game highlighted both teams' strengths and areas for improvement as they progress through the season.
