Pak team enjoys 'Chakde India' on rest day
Chennai, Sep 2 (UNI) With the race for a semis berth hotting up many teams were out at the two astro turf grounds for practice on the rest day of the Asia Cup hockey tournament here today, but not the Pakistan team.
They decided to do something different on the eve of their apparantly easy third match in the league against Singpaore tomorrow and drive away the blues after their debacle at the hands of Japan yesterday by seeing an inspiring Hindi film.
The team went to the cinema to see the famous Shahrukh Khan starrer, the critically acclaimed film about hockey- ''Chakde India''.
The film about women's hockey in India and loosely based on former India goal-keeper turned coach Mir Ranjan Negi, has caught the imagination of sports buffs and sporspersons alike.
The Indian team which takes on Korea in a crucial Pool B match tomorrow, however, did not practice, but preferred to stay indoors, doing their homework on the match.
