Pak to play tri-series after World Cup

Dubai, Feb 19 (UNI) Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka may feature in a one-day series in Abu Dhabi soon after the World Cup in the West Indies.

A report in the Gulf News said the tri-series is scheduled to be held in the first half of May.

South African have confirmed participation but Sri Lanka are yet to indicate their willingness to play in the tournament.

India and Pakistan had featured in a one-day series in Abu Dhabi in April last year to raise funds for the October 2005 earthquake victims in India and Pakistan.

Pakistan did not choose India this time despite the huge spectator demand in UAE, because of the decision between the two cricket boards to cut down on the number of matches between the arch rivals to prevent any overkill.
