New Pakistan coach sees no security problem in Pakistan ahead of Aussies tour

By Staff

Karachi, Jan 11 : New Pakistan cricket coach Geoff Lawson has allayed Australian fears about security problem in Pakistan ahead of Aussies tour to Pakistan later this year.

He said that after taking stock of the conditions prevailing in Pakistan, particularly after Benazir Bhutto's assassination, he told Cricket Australian (CA) officials that he didn't see any security problem and that he was living in Pakistan without any worry.

He, however, said that Australian were worried about security fears on their coming to Pakistan, and that they would take final decision about the forthcoming tour of Pakistan only after February 18 elections.

"They would take the final decision on the tour after the elections," The Nation quoted him as saying.
