Pakistan selection committee memeber steps down

Karachi, Mar 20 (UNI) Member of the National Selction Committee Iqbal Qasim has tendered his resignation from the committee in the wake of Pakistan's shocking ouster from the Cricket World Cup.

Announcing his resignation yesterday, the former Test cricketer said that Pakistan's humiliating defeats in the hands of West Indies and particularly against minnows Ireland has forced him to take this decision, the nation reported.

Lambasting the players for the disastrous performance, he said whenever the team lost, the players put all the responsibility on the team management and never admitted to their mistakes.
