Pakistan team lose equipment on way to final game

JOHANNESBURG, Feb 13 (Reuters) Pakistan's preparations for the last one-day game against South Africa tomorrow have been upset by the loss of equipment en route from Cape Town.

Medical and video analysis material went missing after the fourth match at Newlands, which the tourists lost by 10 wickets to trail 2-1 in the series.

''Two cricket 'coffins' with computers, a tv monitor, dvd player and various other pieces of equipment have disappeared,'' coach Bob Woolmer told Reuters today.

''The physiotherapist's ultra-sound equipment, along with other medical supplies has also failed to arrive,'' Woolmer said.

''I hate to think 'typical Johannesburg airport' but unfortunately there is a bit of history. We're still hopeful that it will turn up somewhere but time is running out and we really do need the equipment to have any hope of being prepared,'' Woolmer said.

''We all saw the bags being checked in so they must have disappeared somewhere during the journey, or on arrival. It's close to 10,000 dollars worth of equipment.'' Reuters SSC DB2254
