Pakistan aim to trap Aussies in spin web during UAE series

By Super Admin

Lahore, Apr.11 (ANI): Pakistan is banking upon its spinners to tackle the new but exceptionally talented Australian batting line-up in the forthcoming UAE one day international series.

Coach Intikhab Alam said he would be relying more on spinners in the series as the Kangaroos are not great players of spin bowling.

"I noticed them going down to spin against South Africa and luckily we have three quality spinners, which we could use against them," The Nation quoted Alam, as saying.

Talking to reporters here, Alam said if the pitches in Abu Dhabi and Dubai offer some help to spinners, Australian batsman would be in trouble.

"If the wickets assist spinners a little, we do have a good chance against Australia," Alam said.

Pakistan has three spinners Shahid Afridi,Saeed Ajmal, and Shoaib Malik in the squad for the five match series, and Alam said a fourth spinner could be included if conditions allow.

He viewed that there would be much pressure on both Shoaib Akhtar and Brett Lee, as both were set to make a come back in international arena. (ANI)
