At the Paris Olympics, athletes celebrated their victories with medals in hand and the Eiffel Tower in the background, engaging in chants, dances, and emotional moments. For the first time, Summer Games organisers created a special area for athletes to celebrate and interact with fans, a move that was warmly received.
The newly opened Park of the Champions at the Trocadéro, the location of the Paris Games' opening ceremony, provides a unique setting where Olympic champions can share their joyous moments with their families and thousands of enthusiastic fans.

This venue allows fans to participate in the celebrations without the need for tickets or reservations, making the Games more inclusive and accessible.
MyKhel correspondent, Paridhi Bhanot, was there right at the centre of it to bring you all the news from the Park of Champions. We spoke to the fans about different aspects of the fan park, the ambience, and how their time in the French capital was going.
"It's a really nice experience, we live in Germany where we had the Euros recently and it is fun to see the contrast, so I really like how this city is full of life and people," said one of the visitors who is from Berlin.
"I have visited Paris quite often and it is a nice quiet city. But now it is full of people and life, so if anyone wants to visit this city, this will be the best time to do so," added another.
A group of four young teenagers all donned in bright yellow and red Spanish jerseys revealed how they feel about the Paris Olympics and the grand celebration coming with it.
While Sandra thought it was an 'awesome' experience here in Paris, Christina was mostly excited about the different cultures being brought together by sports which has always been an important aspect of unifying the world that keeps on finding reasons to be diverse and different.
Another German youngster who was attending the fan park with her mother and sister was more interested in meeting the athletes. "I have been a huge sports fan, and been very interested in the Olympics in general, so to get to meet the athletes who have claimed such honours is a huge experience," said the 17-year-old to myKhel.
Each day, Champions Park will host ceremonies to honour the medal winners from the previous day's events. Athletes are allowed to invite up to four family members to witness their celebration. As the medal events come in rapid succession, more winners will have the chance to connect with their fans and loved ones.
Renowned tennis star Serena Williams and a former gymnast are among the past Olympians scheduled to join these celebrations. The festivities at Champions Park will include music, entertainment, and live broadcasts of the Games, creating a lively atmosphere.
The venue can accommodate up to 13,000 fans daily, with an expected total of around 130,000 visitors by the end of the Olympics. Organizers anticipate that over 1,000 athletes will celebrate their victories at Champions Park, sharing their joyous moments with fans.
