Paris 2024 Olympics Highlights, July 28: Indian athletes will be in action across various disciplines at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Sunday, with several key events lined up.

Harmeet Desai's campaign folds in the men's singles round of 32 with a straight-set loss to 17-year-old Felix Lebrun, whose victory is celebrated by a boisterous Parisian crowd!
The Indian paddle fought hard in the final set till 8-8 but Lebrun took charge in decisive moments yet again.

HS Prannoy seals the win by asserting his dominance! The Indian shuttler showcased his dominance throughout the second game, keeping Fabian Roth on the back foot with his powerful smashes and strategic placement.
Leading comfortably at 18-12, Prannoy forced Roth into the back corner, causing him to hit wide. Prannoy then secured match point at 20-12 with another impressive smash across the court.
Ultimately, Prannoy sealed the victory, forcing Roth to spray his shot wide, and finished the match in just 45 minutes.

HS Prannoy continues to assert his dominance, using his agility and precise shot placement to control the pace. Prannoy extended his lead to 13-7 with two quick points as Roth struggled to get the shuttlecock past the net.
Despite a brief lapse where Prannoy hit the shuttlecock out, reducing his lead to 13-10, he quickly regained composure. Prannoy's brilliant reflexes near the net helped him extend his lead to 15-10. Roth's attempt to be clever by hitting a long serve backfired, giving Prannoy a five-point lead at 16-11.

Prannoy remained composed, correctly judging a return from Roth and extending his lead to 8-6. A challenge by Prannoy on a called-out backhand smash was confirmed by replays to have landed out of the court. Prannoy's sharp drop shot secured another point, pushing his lead to 9-6
By the mid-game interval, Prannoy solidified his dominance, taking an 11-6 lead after Roth hit a shot out of the court.

The second game has begin, HS Prannoy took an early lead at 2-0 with precise cross-court smashes. Fabian Roth then levelled it back to 2-2 after a long rally ended with Prannoy hitting the shuttlecock into the net.
Prannoy then restored a two-point lead at 4-2 as Roth hit his shot well out of the court. Roth is trying to get back in the game, closing the gap to 5-3 as Prannoy hit a half-hearted shot into the net.

In a thrilling end to the first game, HS Prannoy managed to secure the win 21-18 in 23 minutes. The score was tied at 16-16 after a long rally, but Prannoy's powerful smashes helped him regain the lead at 17-17.
Roth briefly cut the gap with a beautiful drop shot to make it 19-18. However, Prannoy responded with a sharp smash down the line to reach game point at 20-18. He then sealed the first game when Roth's attempt to hit the shuttlecock across the court hit the net.

In an exciting turn of events for the German, Roth takes the lead for the first time in the match. After the mid-game interval with Prannoy leading 11-10, Roth came back strong, winning the first two points to make it 12-11.
Prannoy struggled to regain momentum, with a backhand error extending Roth's lead to 13-11. Despite a powerful smash from Prannoy to break Roth's flow at 12-14, Roth maintained his advantage, pushing Prannoy to make another error at 13-15.
Prannoy eventually managed to close the gap slightly to 15-16 after Roth's drop shot hit the net, but the German continues to hold a slim lead.

HS Prannoy leads 10-8. Prannoy recovered from a couple of quick points by Roth at 9-8 by hitting a powerful cross-court smash that the German couldn't reach.
This comes right after Prannoy had built a two-point cushion at 7-5 with another cross-court smash, and extended it to 9-6 with a well-placed shot into the far side of the court. The match remains highly competitive as Prannoy maintains a narrow lead.

HS Prannoy and Fabian Roth are locked in a close contest. Prannoy initially took a two-point lead at 5-3 with some rapid returns.
However, Roth quickly levelled the score at 5-5 after Prannoy hit the shuttlecock into the net. The game remains tightly contested with both players matching each other point for point.
