Lim Sihyeon was the standout performer for South Korea, making a golden debut at the Olympics. She clinched gold in every event she participated in, including the women's individual and team events. In the women's individual event, Lim won the gold, while her compatriot Nam Su-hyeon took the silver, demonstrating South Korea's superiority. Along with Jeon Hun-young, Lim and Nam led South Korea to victory in the women's team event, defeating China in the finals.

India's Performance in Archery at the Paris Olympics 2024

India came into the Paris Olympics 2024 with high hopes in archery, but the elusive Olympic medal remained out of reach. However, the Indian archers still managed to achieve their best finish at the Summer Games.

Deepika Kumari, a veteran archer, put up a valiant fight but was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the women's individual event. The men's team, comprising Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Jadhav, also bowed out in the quarterfinals after a challenging match against Turkey.

The women's team, including Deepika, Ankita Bhakat, and Bhajan Kaur, met a similar fate, losing in the quarterfinals to the Netherlands. Bhajan Kaur reached the Round of 16 in the women's individual event, while Pravin Jadhav and Tarundeep Rai were both eliminated in the Round of 64 in the men's individual events.

Dhiraj Bommadevara advanced to the Round of 32 in the men's individual event, and Ankita Bhakat was ousted in the Round of 64 in the women's individual event. Despite these setbacks, India had a historic moment in the mixed team event, where the pair of Dhiraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat made it to the semi-finals, marking the first time India reached this stage in Olympic archery.

Although they lost the semi-finals and the subsequent bronze medal match, their fourth-place finish was India's best-ever result in Olympic archery.
