Paris Olympics 2024 Opening Ceremony: Indian Olympic Association President Dr. PT Usha and Chef-de-Mission Gagan Narang have given top priority to athletes in the composition of the contingent in the Athletes’ Parade.
All athletes who made themselves available will be part of the Parade. Many have competitions on Saturday and IOA has been respectful of their decision to prioritise preparation and to not take part in the Opening Ceremony. PV Sindhu and Sharath Kamal will be the flagbearers.

Judo: Tulika Mann
Sailing: Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan
Shooting: Anjum Moudgil, Sift Kaur Samra, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Anish.
Swimming: Srihari Nataraj and Dhinidhi Desinghu
Table Tennis: Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra
Tennis: Rohan Bopanna, Sumit Nagal and Sriram Balaji.
Note: Balraj Panwar (Rowing) has his race on Saturday morning. The Athletics, Weightlifting and Wrestling teams are yet to reach Paris.
In India, it will start around 11 PM (IST) on Friday, July 26. The ceremony kicks off at 7:30 PM CEST (6:30 PM BST, 12:30 PM CDT, and 10:30 AM PDT in the US). The marker of the beginning of the Summer Games will be at 8:24 PM CEST, which cleverly aligns with the year 2024 when expressed in the 24-hour clock (20:24). In the UK, this corresponds to 7:24 PM BST, and in the US, it is 1:24 PM CDT and 11:24 AM PDT.
