The qualification round was a roller-coaster of emotions for Indian fans. Ramita started on a challenging note, ranking 22nd after the first series with a score of 104.3, which included two shots of 10.0 that hindered her overall score.

However, she displayed remarkable resilience and determination, gradually climbing up the ranks. By the second series, she improved significantly, scoring 106.0 and jumping to the eighth spot.

Throughout the subsequent series, Ramita continued to demonstrate her prowess. Despite occasional setbacks, such as dropping to 10th place in the third series with a score of 104.9, she remained focused on her goal. Her consistency was evident as she managed scores of 105.3 in both the fourth and fifth rounds, positioning herself just one place outside the cutoff spots at times.

The final series proved decisive for Ramita, where she needed a score of at least 10.3 from her last shot. Rising to the occasion, she delivered a 10.4, securing her fifth-place finish and a coveted spot in the finals.

Elavenil Valarivan had a more fluctuating journey. Initially performing strongly and securing positions within the top ranks, she ultimately faltered in the final moments, dropping to 10th place after a critical 9.9 shot in her penultimate attempt. Despite a strong start and mid-round performance, Elavenil could not maintain her momentum and did not qualify for the finals.

As Ramita Jindal prepares for the final, the hopes of a nation rest on her shoulders. Her journey so far has been a testament to her grit and perseverance, and the upcoming final promises to be an exciting contest. Indian fans will be eagerly watching, hoping to see their talented shooter make her mark on the Olympic stage.
