In the second set, despite Akula having multiple opportunities to close out, she ultimately fell short, allowing Yingsha to secure the set 12-10 once more.

Yingsha continued to assert her dominance in the third set, where Akula struggled to adjust to the Chinese player's spin and speed. Yingsha led for most of the set, but Akula managed to bring it to 8-11, showcasing her resilience despite the mounting pressure.

The final set was a testament to Yingsha's prowess. She quickly took a commanding lead, and Akula was unable to mount a successful comeback. Yingsha's precise shots and aggressive play overwhelmed Akula, sealing the set 11-3 and the match 4-0. This victory secured Yingsha's place in the next round while ending Akula's journey in the singles table tennis competition.

This result marks the end of India's campaign in individual table tennis events at the Paris Olympics 2024. Despite Akula's valiant effort and her earlier success in the tournament, she was ultimately outmatched by the world's best player. With this defeat, the focus now shifts to other Indian athletes competing in the ongoing events.
