Pathan brothers return home to a heroes welcome

Vadodara, Sep 26 (UNI) A huge crowd of cricket fans greeted the Pathan brothers -- Irfan and Yusuf -- as the duo arrived at their home town from Mumbai this evening.

The jubilant crowd carrying banners and tri-colours cheered the two with band and sang slogans 'Bharat Mata Zindabad' as they came out of the airport after being received by their father Mehmood khan Pathan and leaders of both BJP and Congress parties.

After demonstration of some fireworks, the Pathans were driven in an open flower-decked jeep straight to their Haji Park Society residence at Tandalja, about 15 km from the airport.

According to the Pathan family sources, Irfan who was adjudged the Man of the Match for his three-wicket haul in the final of the Twenty20 World Cup, would spend a couple of days with his family before leaving for Bangalore for the coming ODI series against visiting Australian team.
